Mangaluru, Dec 15, 2016 : The golden jubilee celebration of St Aloysius Evening PU College was held on Tuesday, December 13 with a grand and splendid event.

Speaking at the valedictory ceremony, chief guest Dr C K Manjunath, administrator, Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management lauded the efforts of the college in uplifting the future of its students and bringing fame and name to the college in their country and abroad.

He compared the college to renowned Indian universities like Nalanda and Varanasi and said that Aloysius was no less in comparison to these great Institutions.

Fr Dionysius Vaz, the rector of St Aloysius Institutions, presided over the function and said that in order to enhance one’s knowledge, one has to have intelligence and to develop that, he needs experience. He appreciated the hard work of the students of the Evening PU College and for spending their evenings fruitfully in the college in order to get educated.

Fr Melwin Mendonca, the principal, presented the college report. Convener, Reena J Monteiro, welcomed the gathering. Also on the dais were finance officer Fr John Lang Bosco and the coordinator of the Evening PU College, Dr Pradeep M Sunil compered the programme.

The students presented a Kannada play under the theme, 'Communal Harmony' which was the highlight of the day. The ambience was enlivened with music and dance to mark the golden jubilee year.
