Sagar, Nov 11 : "Build your life on a firm foundation," said His Excellence, Most Rev. Dr. Francis Serrao SJ, Bishop of Shimoga.

He was speaking after laying the Foundation Stone of St. Teresa of Kolkata Church at Analekoppa on 7th November 2017. Mother Teresa set an example to mankind through her sublime compassion, love and service. Every person should build his or her life on such solid values, he said. Citing the example of the crow and the spider, he added that the crow uses external materials to build its nest, whereas the spider empties itself to build its web. So also, a Church is built through the sacrfices of many.

Earlier the Bishop was given a warm welcome by the Parish Council and Finance Committee members. He was led in procession to the Church Campus. A meaningful Blessing ceremony followed at the end of which the Bishop unveiled the Foundation Stone plaque and laid the foundation stone.

Fr. Ephraim Dias M.Ss.Cc., Fr. Sudeep, Religious Sisters and a large number of Faithful were present. Ms. Silvia Gomes welcomed. Francis D'Souza compered the programme. Fr. Venus Colaco proposed the Vote of Thanks.
