Mangaluru, March 16 : "Success is where preparation and opportunity meet".

A spectacular day with fun and relaxation began at ST Agnes CBSE school on March 3rd. The Intramural Sports Meet 2021-22 was organised for the students of grade X the outgoing batch. During the pandemic phase the students missed their important events in school life. To boost them and bring smiles on their face a day of relaxation with various sports events were organised.

The programme began with escorting the chief guest Sr Edna Furtado AC the school Administrator followed by the principal and other dignitaries. A meaningful prayer song was sung by Rinkle and team. Glaval of grade X welcomed the gathering. Sr Edna Furtado AC the chief guest of the day inaugurated the sports meet followed by sharing her words of wisdom and wishing each participant’s good luck. The Principal Sr Maria Gracilda AC too expressed her thoughts by saying a day to show the leadership skills and wishing all participants to perform their best. The formal programme was brought to an end with the vote of thanks by Tanvi JR of grade X the sports minister. It was a mesmerizing moment to see all the participants in their sports attire participate and cheer all. The teachers of the school cheered all the players by their presence in each event.

The events were Kho Kho, Volleyball, Throwball and Dodgeball. The students were divided into Team ACES -XA, Team ONYX -XB and Team AMBER- XC. The event began with the Kho-Kho match with Team ONYX winning the match. The Volley ball match was played well with a good fight between the teams and the winners were Team AMBER. The third event was throwball, a spectacular match to watch with Team OYNX winning the match. The afternoon session was a Dodgeball event and played with full spirit with team ACES winning the match.

The valedictory programme was held post lunch with Teacher Gracilla D’cunha as the chief guest and followed by our principal. The winners were honoured with certificates, medals and trophies. The most important moment was at the end of the day each and every player was a winner. The overall championship was bagged by Team ONYX in the first position, Team ACES in the second position and Team AMBER in third position. A friendly match of Dodgeball was held for the teachers too. Best moments were captured by Sir Arun.
The event was a success with the hard efforts of the PE trainers and teachers who supported them. To add on the ambiance for the day a spectacular backdrop was displayed. Shannel Rodrigues the head girl compered the programme. The sports meet was brought to a closure with the singing the school song and distribution of ice-cream for the hard effort.

The Management congratulates all the winners and shows gratitude for the good initiative by the school and staff to give the best.
