Mangaluru, Feb 5 :

“Peace begins with a smile.”
“One person of integrity can make a difference.”

St. Agnes CBSE School jointly recognised Peace Day or Marty's day and Integrity Day on 2nd February 2022. These events commenced with a short prayer service with a meaningful lamp lighting ceremony uplifting the spirit of peace and integrity.

Melodious song was sung by the students which helped them to imbibe the values of love, harmony, nonviolence and to become the instruments of peace in their home and surrounding. The students presented a scintillating dance by spreading compassion, kindness and hope during this pandemic. On account of integrity day, the teachers were dressed in different attires of various states by passing the message of brotherhood and unity in diversity. An honesty sale was organised for the students to honestly purchase the things and drop money in the cash box.

To mark the importance of peace at 11:00 a.m. every student and teacher gave a standing gesture for two minutes. No doubt this day focuses on building a peaceful and sustainable world and posing students to this concept at an early age helps them to shape into responsible global citizens. An oath taking ceremony was also held to remember India as an integrated country and all citizens shall renew their thoughts on unity and peace.

Numerous competitions were conducted for the students of grade I -X which helped them to understand the meaning of peace and how they can contribute to make the world a better place.

A colourful display of the notice boards to depict the importance of peace and integrity was shown by the joint efforts of teachers Priya, Dhanya, Shanthi and Sumana.

Let us spread the message of peace, love and integrity and promise to work together to make a country stronger.

The Management, the Administrator, Principal and the Staff congratulate the winners of the competitions.

“Alone you are a drop, but in a team, we form an ocean.”
