Mangaluru, July 23, 2021 : Nature is the art of God. ‘Plant a tree for a green tomorrow’. Go green, there is no planet B. If there is a future, it will be green. With this in mind, Carmel School here held ‘GREENATHON’ to inculcate in students love for Mother Earth.
Following competitions and activities were held for different classes.
- UKG – ‘My Nature My Future’( Fancy Dress Competition)
- Classes I to III – Elocution on “Forests are the Lungs of the Earth”
- Classes IV and V – Poster making – ‘Save Trees Save Earth’
- Classes VI and VII : Nature Melody –Singing Competition.
- Class VIII – ‘Wild Beauty’ – Preparation of a Vase
- Classes IX and X – ‘Green Teen’ -Essay Competition

A short programme was held by the staff and the students of class X. The ‘GREENATHON’ celebration was concluded by handing over the saplings of Avalanda, a flower bearing tree, to the ‘Green Warriors’ of Carmel School. A Welsh Proverb says, “A seed hidden in the heart of an apple, is an orchard invisible”. Let us discover the hidden orchards to make our Planet Earth clean and green!
