Mangaluru, June 25 : St Theresa’s School in observance of Yoga Day conducted the "Yoga Sapthaha" from 14th to 21st June, 2021. Yoga embodies the unity of mind and body; thought and action, it is a holistic approach to health and well-being. Through Yoga we discover the sense of oneness with ourselves, nature and the world.

With this theme the Principal Sr Lourdes, Vice Principal Sr Caron, the Physical Education Teachers Mr Joseph Rodrigues and Mrs. Anitha along with the teachers and students celebrated the Yoga Sapthaha with great enthusiasm.

Everyday began with meditation (Dhyana) followed by warm up exercises along with the breathing exercise (Pranayama).

Students actively demonstrated the various asanas,eg. Tadasana (Palm Tree Posture), Vrksasana( The Tree Posture), Ardha Chakrasana ( The Half Wheel Posture), Savasana with great robustness and vigour.

The students are encouraged to practice regular yoga to improve concentration and to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The program was a grand success.
