Bengaluru , Feb 10 : Konkan Sports Club Bengaluru organized Konkan Cup 2020, 6 a-side 40 yards over arm cricket tournament, on 9th February 2020 at DNI Sports Ground here, as a tribute to Alex Lewis. 10 teams from different parts of Bengaluru participated in this tournament.

During this tournament a short condolence meeting was held. Friends from cricket circle and family of Alex were present. Joyson Fernandes led the condolence prayer meet.

Mr. Charles Gomes, President of Kanara Entrepreneurs and past chairman , Federation of Konkani Catholic Associations (FKCA) and Mr. Gerald Pinto, Ex- president of St. Anne's Konkan Kutam (SAKK) shared their memories they had with Alex and his passion for cricket was applauded. Mrs. Seema Lewis extended her gratitude to all those who stood with her during the difficult time of her life. Mr.Silvian Noronha, Chairman of FKCA visited the venue and showed his support for the tournament.

Different teams such as Stars of Jayanagar, Neermarga Challengers, Team BKCS , Team FKCA, Team DNI, Sezarche Chede, Sezarche Rede, Charbelle Chede, KCS, Yashwanthpur , Team HCC, Hegdenagar took active part in the tournament.

Tournament Results:

Winners: Team BKCS
Runners: Charbelle Chede

Best Batsman: Brayan from BKCS
Best Bowler: Royston, Charbelle Chede

Konkan Sports Club, Bengaluru is thankful to all the sponsors and well-wishers for supporting throughout the event. Mr. Nagaraj friend of Alex was present during the prize distribution ceremony and gave away the trophies. Mr. Roshan D'souza proposed vote of thanks. Rayan Miranda compered the event.
