Kuwait, Dec 31 : Mangalore Cultural Association - Kuwait (MCA) celebrated its 1st anniversary along with "NATHALANCHO DABAZO -2019", on Friday 20th December 2019, at Indian community school, Khaitan here.

All guests were welcomed with sprinkling of rose water and offering of traditional "pan pod udaak". The celebration commenced with euphonious Christmas carols sung by Mrs. & Mr. Anil Laveena Pais and team .

The traditional 'Divo' was lit by Mr. Anil Pais (Founder of MCA) and the guests of honour - Mrs. Lucy Lobo Aranha, Mr. Anil D'souza and Mr. Jason D'cunha along with the committee members. The guests were welcomed with bouquet of flowers.

Mrs. Precilla Rodrigues and team led the gathered guests into prayer while Mr. Anil Pais and team continued with devotional hymns.

Mr. Naveen Cedric D'sa (President, MCA) gave a warm welcome speech and also gave a brief on MCA's mission and vision. Mrs. Lucy also enhanced the evening with her inspiring words.

Live band by ALP MUSIC and team enhanced the evening with their collection of songs. The audience were entertained by traditional folk dance performed by ladies and children's dance with fusion of songs.

Heart touching Konkani drama "BOGSANNEM" with social morals was written and directed by Mrs. Ida Lobo. Santa's entry excited the children's. Goodies were distributed to the kids.

Mrs. Lucy Lobo Aranha, Mr. Lionel Ajekar and Mr. Rajesh Fernandes mesmerized the crowd with their jokes and thunderous laughter in the hall.

Mrs. Ida Lobo explained the mission & vision of MCA, its activities in the past one year since its existence.

Christmas Hamper draw was conducted and sponsored by Mrs. Shirly.

Mr. Lancy Pais recited the grace before dinner. The appetizing Mangalorean dinner was served.

Mr. Sagar Castelino, Vice President, MCA proposed the Vote of Thanks. The program was coordinated by Mr. Arvin D'souza and well supported by the committee members. MCA appreciates the efforts of its Volunteers in-charge Mr. Lenon Peris & Mr. Micheal Monteiro who made this event possible & successful. Thanks a bunch to them.

MCA also extends their gratitude to the following who have contributed in making this event a memorable evening.
