Mangaluru, Dec 25, 2019 : Soaking in the spirit of Christmas, St. Agnes CBSE School here celebrated the festival cum Merit day with great enthusiasm in different categories on different days in the school premises. The Assistant Parish Priest of St. Sebastian Church Bendore Rev. Fr. Rohan Dias, The administrator of St. Agnes Autonomous College Sr. Carmelrita A.C and Mrs. Dimple Mendonca were the Chief Guests.

The students of grade IIIA, IVD and VIIC performed a short program emphasising the importance of the day. The dance drama depicting the birth of Jesus Christ was indeed spectacular.

Merit day was celebrated to recognise and honour the students who excelled in academics and also those who had 100% attendance for the year 2018-19 with medals and certificates. The school had conducted various extra-curricular activities for the year 2019-20 and those who were victorious were felicitated by the chief guest.

The Chief Guests in their message stressed on spreading love, peace and joy. Parents were invited to witness the celebration and were overwhelmed at the sight. The Principal Sr. Maria Gracilda thanked the parents and appreciated the students for their achievement.

To mark the significance of the day Eucharistic Celebration was held at St. Sebastian Church, Bendore. The walls of the school glowed with colourful stars. Notice and bulletin boards of all the classes were decorated by the students creatively. The crib setting on the school premises was the main attraction. Santa Claus arrived in SACS jingling with bells of happiness and joy to meet his loving fans. Cake was distributed to all the students on this special day.

The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of all the children.
