The celebration was held in a unique way with a health checkup camp and cake cutting

Mangaluru, Dec 24 : Christmas and New Year celebration were held at Father Muller Hospital Thumbay near here, on 21st December 2019 at 3.00pm. Rev. Fr Richard A. Coelho, Director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions presided over the festivities. Rev. Fr Sylvester Vincent Lobo, Administrator, Father Muller Hospital Thumbay and Dr Kiran Shetty, Medical Superintendent graced the occasion.

A beautiful invocation through a prayer song was rendered by the staff of the hospital. Rev. Fr Sylvester Vincent Lobo welcomed the gathering ringing in the season’s greetings to all saying that Jesus Christ , the Prince of Peace was born for all mankind in the most humblest way in a manger which is a sign that God does not need a palace but the heart’s of men to be in.

The celebrations were doubled with the cutting of the Christmas cake and sharing the same with all. Rev. Fr Richard Coleho, Director FMCI, released the Christmas magazine “ Muller@Thumbay” the 7th edition and delivered his Christmas message. He said, in the midst of hatred, division and sadness, Christmas brings Joy, Peace, Love and Hope. He called everyone to serve the society with love and care keeping in mind the beautiful country we live in. He weaved in the Christmas message through 2 stories which reminded everyone the essence of sharing and caring of God’s most beloved creation (man) as the duty of all.

The Christmas joy was shared with all through Christmas Carols, Christmas Dance and lucky games performed by the Nurses and supportive staff. Rev. Fr Richard Coelho distributed the prizes for the winners of spot games .Mrs Silviya Nisha Lobo Nursing Supervisor conducted fun filled lucky games & Mrs Rileesha, Assistant Quality Manager delivered the vote of thanks. The anchoring of the programme was done by Ms Vildren Jane, Medical social worker. The programme concluded with the Institution Anthem. Patients, by-standers, faculty and staff of the hospital participated joyously at the event.

Continuing with the Christmas feel a Free Medical Health Check-up camp was organized at Father Muller Hospital Thumbay.

Health Check-up camp departments were Medicine, Orthopedics, Surgery, OBG, Urology, Peadiatrics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Psychiatric, Dental and Oral Maxillo Facial Surgery. Free Services provided were BP, GRBS, ECG, Medicine, 50% concession on Spectacles, cataract Surgery (Rs. 2000/- Package). Total 72 patients benefitted from the Health Checkup Camp.

The Father Muller Health Checkup at the Kankanady was also highlighted by Fr Sylvester, with its 20% discount for the Christmas Season and year 2020.
