Mangaluru, July 04 : Personality Development Programme for the students of Class X was organized by Catholic Association of South Kanara (CASK) on Thursday, 4th July 2019 at Mount Carmel School here. Mrs. Patsy Lobo and her team conducted the programme.

The resource person Mrs. Bharathi Shevgur spoke on public speaking. The students were divided inot groups made them face questions from within the group. She guided them to ask random questions, highlighting on the point when people raise questions, how we need to respond to them.

The other member of the team Ms. Melora Pais spoke about social media. She gave awareness regarding the facebook, instagram and other media, where all have the habit of posting selfies instantly. She made aware of the threats and problems faced by people specially girls through such postings. She also made it clear how sexting is affecting the younger generation and how they are vulnerable to the crimes connected to it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Derick Lobo then spoke about the artificial intelligence and robotic mechanisms, which will affect the careers in India.

The programme will include a series of talks on different topics spread throughout the year to help the students in view of enriching their personality along with the curricular activities. A total of 110 students of class X will be the beneficiaries of this programme.
