Madanthyar, Dec 15 : Sacred Heart Pre-University College celebrated 37th Annual day on 10th of December, 2018 at Sacred Heart Sabha Bhavan here.

The programme commenced with a prayer dance. Mr. Mohan Nayak, the Head Master, Sacred Heart High school welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr. Jerome D’Souza, Principal, S.H.P.U. presented the report of the college. Dr. Ganesh Amin, Sankamar, Head of the Kannada Department St. Aloysius college Mangaluru and Mrs. Irene Mendonca, Principal, St. Mary’s P.U. college Shirva and Mr. Ronald Sequeira, Vice President Parish Pastoral Parishad Madanthyar were the chief guests. Rev.Fr. Basil Vas, Correspondent, Sacred Heart Institutions, presided over the celebrations.

The annual prize distribution was held on that momentous occasion. Students who have excelled in sports and games, academics and co-curricular activities received the prizes from the chief guests as well as the president of the programme. Mr. Leo Noronha, proposed the vote of thanks.

Mr. Vincent Rodrigues, Lecturer in History and Ms. Renisha Veigas, Lecturer in commerce were the master of ceremonies and in the afternoon a variety entertainment programme from S.H.P.U. students was held. More than 1,039 students and the parents and the guardians of the students were present on the occasion.
