Puttur, August 18, 2025 : St. Philomena College (Autonomous), Puttur, extended a warm welcome to its new batch of students by celebrating Fresher’s Day with enthusiasm and festivity. The programme, hosted by senior students under the guidance of faculty, aimed to ease the transition of newcomers into campus life while promoting a spirit of camaraderie.

The event commenced with a formal inaugural session attended by the principal, faculty members, and student representatives. In his address, the Principal urged the freshers to make full use of the academic and extracurricular opportunities offered by the institution. He highlighted the values of discipline, excellence, and active participation as the hallmarks of holistic education.

The cultural segment of the programmes sparkled with performances from both seniors and juniors, including music, dance, skits, and creative acts that showcased the vibrancy of student talent. Interactive games and ice-breaking activities added a touch of fun, helping forge bonds between the two groups.
