Udupi, August 4 : St Cecily’s English Medium Higher Primary School (CBSE) hosted a series of experiential enrichment programmes for students and faculty at the onset of August 2025. The faculty were enriched with an insightful session on ‘How to identify special children in our classrooms and include them in the regular learning scenarios’ by Dr Nagrajmurthy, renowned psychologist from A V Baliga Memorial Hospital, Udupi.
Dr Nagrajmurthy shared his rich knowledge about different types of children with special needs- such as those with ADHD and Autism - and specific behavioural patters they exhibit. He further guided the teachers on practical strategies to include these children in mainstream classrooms, emphasizing that a little thoughtful attention and understanding can make a big difference. Real-life case studies added depth to his talk, helping the teachers visualize effective inclusive practices.
