Moodbidri, Aug 3 : The Grandparents’ Day celebration was held on 31st July 2025 with great joy and enthusiasm in the Carmel school auditorium. The event was lovingly organized by the students of LKG to Class 4 to honour and appreciate their dear grandparents.

A delightful cultural programme was presented by students of LKG, UKG, grade 1, and 2. The celebration began with a graceful prayer dance invoking God’s blessings for the special day. This was followed by the welcoming of guests, a vibrant welcome dance, and a warm welcome speech delivered by the students. A lively entertainment dance dedicated to grandparents brought smiles and heartfelt applause from the audience.

The significance of the day was highlighted through a meaningful speech, followed by another beautiful dance performance honoring both parents and grandparents. A thought-provoking skit presented by the students emphasized the importance of spending quality time with grandparents.

The event also included fun-filled games for the grandparents, such as a couple dance, passing the ball and activity based on birthday months. These light-hearted moments were thoroughly enjoyed by all. Following the performances and games, the students personally greeted their grandparents with handmade greeting cards and captured joyful memories through selfies.

The celebration was graced by the presence of Principal Sr. Lilly Pushpa A.C., Vice Principal Sr. Preena A.C, and Coordinator Sr. Maria Rosy. The Chief Guest, Mrs. Hilda Rodrigues, a retired teacher, addressed the gathering with an inspiring message. She spoke about the blessing that grandparents are to every family and encouraged grandchildren to spend quality time with them, cherish their wisdom, and uphold the values they pass on.

Refreshments were distributed to all, bringing the celebration to a joyful and satisfying close. It was truly a heartwarming event that brought immense joy to the grandparents and created lasting memories for the students and their families.
