The program commenced with a prayer song led by Jenisha and Afseena, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere for the celebration. This was followed by a skit presented by the boys of Second Science, who humorously yet thoughtfully conveyed a strong message about environmental responsibility.
One of the major highlights of the day was the “Eco Catwalk – Fashion from Waste”, where students Ziesha, Fathima Silmi, Arafa, and Pallavi showcased innovative outfits created entirely from waste materials, proving that sustainability and creativity can go hand in hand.
The audience was then treated to a group song dedicated to Mother Earth, presented by the melodious singers of Second Science. The soulful performance was followed by an awareness dance, which used graceful movements to depict the various moods of nature, captivating everyone with its expressive choreography.
A significant part of the event was the Sapling Distribution Ceremony, led by the Principal and the Eco-Green Committee members. Every class received a sapling—a symbolic promise to nurture the planet and ensure a greener future.
Adding a fun and educational touch to the day, Shambreena and Raneem conducted a Green Quiz, challenging students' knowledge on environmental topics and encouraging green thinking.
A delightful surprise came in the form of the Lucky Green Game – Rose Surprise, where hidden gifts were placed under students' chairs. The lucky winners were thrilled to receive a special prize—two pet fish—as a symbol of life and care for nature.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ruhaan Sheik, who was aptly described as the “calm banyan tree” of the class. His words of gratitude were short, sincere, and impactful.
In their closing lines, the emcees reminded everyone that while the event may end, the real Green Day lies in our daily actions—living consciously and protecting the Earth. The celebration ended with a collective call to action:
"Let’s not wait for change—let’s be the seed of that change."
Indeed, the Green Day celebration was a refreshing and inspiring reminder of the role each one of us plays in preserving our planet.
