Mangaluru , July 10 : Vanamahostsava, an annual tree planting festival was celebrated in Sacred Hearts’ Hr Pry School, Kulshekar, Mangaluru on 10th July 2025, to showcase the reverence towards mother nature.
Student of grade VII B took the initiative of the Vanamahostsava celebration. Entire program depicted the reverence to Mother Nature, and it inculcated social accountability in students to protect the forest and to develop eco-friendly attitude to conserve the environment.
Sr Reena, the Chief Guest encouraged the students to plant a sapling to maintain ‘Ecological Balance’.
Sr Rita Sharal, the Headmistress in her presidential speech motivated the students to pledge for a better tomorrow by preventing desertification of the mother earth. Further a sapling was planted as a part of Vanamahostsava celebration, this created an awareness among the students to respect and care for the plants.
The program was concluded by singing the National Anthem.
