Moodbidri, July 10 : A Graphology session was organized at Carmel School, Moodbidri on July 7, 2025, to help students understand the significance of handwriting and its influence on personality development. The session was conducted by Mr. Edwin Stanislaus Dsouza, a well-known graphologist and handwriting expert.

To ensure effective engagement, the session was divided into two parts—morning for Grades 5 to 7, and afternoon for Grades 8 to 10.

Morning Session (Grades 5 to 7)

The morning session was compered by Teacher Shanthi D’Costa. Teacher Renisha welcomed the gathering and introduced the esteemed resource person.

Mr. Edwin Dsouza conducted an informative and interactive session focused on improving handwriting. He introduced the “SMSPLZ” technique—a simple and effective method to enhance handwriting by concentrating on the following aspects:

• S – Slant
• M – Margin
• S – Size
• P – Pressure
• L – Loop
• Z – Zones

Students were also guided on how to create a proper signature, highlighting its importance as a reflection of one’s personality and identity.

The session was engaging and insightful, leaving students motivated to improve their writing habits. The vote of thanks was delivered by Master Shannen Dsouza of Grade 7.

Afternoon Session (Grades 8 to 10)

The afternoon session was skilfully hosted by Teacher Clara, with Teacher Sushma delivering the welcome address.

Mr. Stany Dsouza continued his session with the senior students, delving deeper into the psychological aspects of graphology. He explained how handwriting analysis can reveal individual personality traits, emotional tendencies, and behavioural patterns. The session included live demonstrations and personalized tips, which were well-received by the students.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Yashwitha Bhandary of Grade 10, who expressed heartfelt appreciation to the resource person and all those involved in organizing the enriching event.

The graphology session proved to be a valuable learning experience for the students of Carmel School. It not only enhanced their awareness about handwriting improvement but also introduced them to the fascinating world of graphology.
