Kinnigoli, July 1 : The Investiture Ceremony is a significant event that showcases the essence of leadership and responsibility. It is an occasion where deserving individuals are honoured and entrusted with the authority to lead and represent their respective roles. To inculcate leadership qualities in students and to give them a sense of being an important and integral part of the administrative body, the Student Council is formed every year.
On 28 June 2025, the Investiture Ceremony for the year 2025 - 26 was held with great pomp and splendour, marking a significant event in the academic calendar of St Mary’s Central School, Kinnigoli. The ceremony commenced at 9:30 AM and was graced by esteemed dignitaries.
The school band warmly welcomed the dignitaries, and the school choir led the prayer song. Ms. Risha welcomed the gathering, and the ceremonial lamp was lit as a symbol of enlightenment.
Rev. Fr. Lancy Joel Saldanha, the Principal of the school, shared his thoughts and addressed the gathering. The newly elected School Pupil Leader expressed his emotions and congratulated his team, sharing his excitement for the responsibilities ahead.
Rev. Fr. Joachim Fernandes, School Correspondent, presided over the event. His inspiring words set a positive tone for the ceremony, emphasizing the values of leadership and responsibility.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Vincent Dsouza, Manager of Federal Bank, delivered a motivational speech that resonated deeply with the attendees. He highlighted the essential qualities of effective leadership and encouraged the newly elected leaders to strive for excellence, integrity, and service in their roles.
Following this, Rev. Fr. Lancy Joel Saldanha took the stage once more, expressing his pride in the student leaders and his confidence in their ability to uphold the values and traditions of the institution. His words were both encouraging and reflective, underscoring the importance of teamwork and dedication.
The PTA Vice President, Mr. Stany Pinto, and Secretary, Mrs. Divya Pinto, also addressed the gathering, appreciating and congratulating the newly appointed leaders. Their presence reflected the strong support and involvement of the parents in the school's activities.
The ceremony was highlighted by the formal swearing-in of the new student council members. Each member took an oath to perform their duties diligently and uphold the honour of the institution.
The programme was anchored by Ms. Augustina and concluded with the School Anthem—leaving everyone with a sense of pride, accomplishment, and renewed purpose.
