On the occasion of World Music Day, St Antony English Medium School celebrated the joy, rhythm, and beauty of music during a vibrant morning assembly on June 21, 2025. The assembly was thoughtfully conducted by the enthusiastic students of Class 5, who showcased their talents with great confidence and spirit.

The programme began with a soulful prayer rendered by the school choir, creating a calm and reverent atmosphere. This was followed by delightful musical performances:

Sahith played a soothing tune on the flute and Reeshel captivated the audience with her performance on the keyboard. Disha added rhythm and energy with the cymbals.

Swaliha presented the significance of World Music Day, helping everyone to understand the importance of music in life and culture. Zain shared the thought for the day, reflecting on the emotional power of music, and Dishwith announced the theme of World Music Day 2025, which resonated with the universal appeal of music as a tool for peace and expression.

The school Headmistress addressed the students and staff, emphasizing how music plays a vital role in education, emotional well-being, and cultural understanding. She encouraged students to participate more in music-related activities.

Rev. Fr Robert D’Souza, the Correspondent of the school, added depth to the celebration by delivering an engaging explanation about various musical instruments. While showcasing a PowerPoint presentation, he described the origin, structure, and sound of each instrument shown on the screen, sparking curiosity and appreciation among the students.

The programme concluded with applause and joy, as the students left the assembly inspired by the rich and universal language of music.
