Mangaluru, June 10 : The atmosphere at Carmel School was charged with pride and anticipation as the school conducted its Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2025–2026 on 09 June 2025. This momentous occasion marked the official induction of the newly elected Student Council—a team of dynamic young leaders entrusted with the responsibility of upholding the school’s values and spearheading student initiatives.

The newly elected Cabinet and dignitaries were formally welcomed with a ceremonial reception, featuring a performance by the school's esteemed band troop.

The ceremony began with a lighting of the lamp of knowledge, soulful invocation seeking the blessings of the Almighty and a warm welcome by the students, setting the tone for an inspiring event.

The highlight of the event was the formal installation of the Student Council, which included the Head Boy, Deputy Head Boy, House Captains, and various ministers. Each student having introduced themselves and expressed their mission was conferred with a sash and badge by the Principal Sr Lilly Pushpa AC, Chief Guest Miss Lynn Carmel Dcosta Sr. Elena AC the administrator, Mr Jossy Menezes PTA vice president signifying their leadership roles. The moment of pride was sealed with a pledge of office, where the student leaders took an oath to fulfill their responsibilities with compassion, humility, love and commitment.

Adding to the spirit of the day, the newly appointed leaders expressed their vision and mission through a meaningful song reflecting on their journey for the year ahead.

The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Miss Lynn Carmel DCosta alumnus of Carmel School, who addressed the audience and shared insights on the value of responsibility, self confidence and student participation in school governance.

The Principal Sr. Lilly Pushpa A C in her address beautifully explained what is to be a leader and the qualities of a leader highlighting "A leader is a servant'.

The Investiture Ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by the Head Boy Master Glenson Mendonsa and the Deputy Head Boy Master Jacob James and resounding applause from the audience. It was not just a celebration, but a call to action—a reminder that true leadership is about service, character, and leading by example.

This auspicious ceremony was skillfully compared by Miss Angel DSouza and Master Neil.
