Mangaluru, June 7, 2025 : Environment Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Lady Hill Victoria High School in the school hall. The event commenced with a prayer service dedicated to the protection of nature, during which students expressed gratitude for the environment’s blessings.
The program was officially inaugurated by the headmistress Sister Pushpa Pinto A.C. who planted a sapling to symbolize commitment to environmental conservation. Following this, students performed a lively dance emphasizing the importance of caring for our planet.

Lakshmi delivered an inspiring speech on how to conserve the environment, highlighting simple yet effective measures. A melodious song on the environment was also presented, further raising awareness among attendees.
Sister Pushpa Pinto A.C. in her address, congratulated the students of the 10th A and emphasized the critical need to protect the environment—not only for our present well-being but also for future generations. She spoke about pressing issues like deforestation and pollution, sharing an anecdote to illustrate the importance of individual responsibility in environmental preservation.
As part of the celebrations, students, along with their parents, planted saplings symbolizing collective efforts toward a greener future. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks rendered by Sukanya.
The program was beautifully coordinated and was compered by Pallavi and Prashant, adding to the overall success of the celebration.
