Moodbidri, May 28 : On the 27th of May, 2025, Carmel School, Moodbidri, organized an insightful and empowering session on *Cyber Security, Martial Arts, and Self-Defense* for the staff members. The resource persons for the session were Mr. Karthik S. Kateel, a renowned expert in the field, and his mother, Mrs. Shobhalatha, who actively assisted in the practical demonstrations.

The session commenced with a prayer song invoking the divine presence. The programme was seamlessly compered by Mr. Prajwal Pereira, who also extended a warm and gracious welcome to the gathering.

The core session was effectively facilitated by Mr. Karthik and Mrs. Shobhalatha. Mr. Karthik emphasized critical aspects of *Cyber Security*, stressing that it is a multifaceted discipline involving not only technology but also the human element, the ever-evolving nature of cyber threats, and the necessity for a multi-layered approach to defense. He further enriched the session by incorporating value-based insights and real-life examples to underscore the importance of digital vigilance.

The session transitioned into an engaging and practical segment on "Self-Defense and Martial Arts". Mr. Karthik, ably supported by his mother, demonstrated a variety of self-defense techniques aimed at equipping staff members with essential skills for personal safety. A video showcasing practical applications of martial arts techniques was also presented to enhance understanding.

The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Prajwal Pereira, who expressed sincere gratitude to the esteemed resource persons, the organisers, and all participants for their enthusiastic involvement and contribution to the session’s success.
