Fresher’s Party is organized to make every new student feel connected as an integral part of the Institution and be ready to take on the challenges of the year ahead. It is the day where seniors and juniors finally bond and unite to celebrate being part of the college. Every student eagerly awaits right from the time of their admission , to the most remarkable event of the college life “FRESHER’S PARTY”. The 7th of June 2024 was a memorable day in the life of every fresher of the academic year 2024-25 batch at St Raymond’s PU College, Vamanjoor. The newest members of the college were welcomed with a bang organized by the II PUC Science students, manifesting youth and enthusiasm at its full flow. Jovial smiles and high spirits marked the welcome party for the students which was aptly called ‘Gen Z Neo Fiesta 24-25’.

Light is considered as very sacred and a symbol of Wisdom. Hence the inauguration of the event started by kindling the lamp by the dignitaries, staff representative and two student representatives of freshman year. The occasion was graced by the presence of Dr. Sr. Mariola BS, Correspondent of the College, Sr. Anita Lydia, Principal and all faculty members.

The college community also felicitated and extended a hearty welcome to the newest member of the institution Dr. Sr. Mariola BS as she is the newly appointed Correspondent of the College. Sr. Anita Lydia introduced her to the student community by highlighting her background, achievements, and aspirations. She said in her address that Dr. Sr. Mariola brings with her a wealth of talent, passion, and fresh perspectives that will undoubtedly enrich our college community and inspire positive change.

The Fresher’s Party was a resounding success, characterized by a myriad of engaging activities and memorable moments. The event kicked off with a formal welcome address by the Principal Sr. Anita Lydia and a motivational speech by the Correspondent Dr. Sr. Mariola. It was followed by an introduction to the History of the college, college environment, all faculty members and various student clubs and organizations.

Students of Second year PUC showcased their talents through a series of captivating cultural performances, including dance routines, musical performances, and skits. To facilitate interaction and comradeship among the students, several icebreaker games and activities were conducted. Pulsating ambience, flashing lights and foot-tapping music, set the mood of the event. The venue was adorned with vibrant decorations. Refreshments and snacks were also provided, allowing students to recharge and socialize amidst the festivities.
