Mangaluru, Jan 26 : India’s 75th Republic Day was celebrated on 26th January 2024, with great zeal at St. Theresa's School, Mangaluru. The school echoed with patriotic fervour as the school premises were adorned in the hues of the tri-color. Mrs Cinderalla Daryani, skilled multimedia journalist and expertise in news writing and editing presided over the function as the chief guest.

Mrs Shareen Baretto introduced the Chief Guest to the gathering. She welcomed the chief guest, principal Sr Lourdes, Vice Principal Sr Reena, PTA Vice President Mr Sujith Noronha, parents, staff, and students who gathered in large numbers.

The vibrant show commenced with the soulful rendition of God's grace wherein the school choir paid a tribute to the unsung heroes of the country.

The students took an oath to be loyal and dedicated citizens of the country.

The highlight of the day was when the young students danced to the patriotic tunes of ‘Jai bharat', a perfect tribute to the Motherland, India.

The Chief Guest spoke eloquently, highlighting the significance of the day, and made the children aware that the future of the country lies in their hands. She urged them to inculcate good values in life, which will help them to be good citizens of the country. Ananya Prabhu and Suleiman Amaan compered the programme.

Samantha Rosario delivered a speech in Hindi on Republic Day.

Keerthana of grade 8 proposed the vote of thanks.

Finally, all assembled bowed to the strains of the slogans of India. Sweets were distributed to all the guests, teachers, and students after the celebration.
