Moodbidri, Aug 21 : On the occasion of the 75th Independence Day, ICYM Shirthady unit organized a “Carrom Tournament” for the parishioners at Holy Angels School Hall on Monday, 15th August 2022.

As India celebrated its 75 years of Independence on Monday, Inter-ward mixed Carrom Tournament was conducted to Unite the parishioners. Former Karnataka Regional ICYM President Jason Pereira, Shirthady welcomed the gathering and the programme commenced with a prayer.

This tournament was unique because it was open to all age groups that gave people a chance to participate beyond the age limit. The competition was held with fair rules under the guidance of referees and volunteers of ICYM Members of the Shirthady Unit.

A total of 23 teams participated in the Carrom tournament where the 1st place was bagged by Chintan and Reyan and 2nd Place was bagged by Jaison and Larren. The tournament was a grand success as it went on smoothly. The competition was tough but the participants were sportive.

Shirthady Unit Animator Chinthan Lobo, President Arrel Mark Pinto, Secretary Nikhitha Martis and other Executive members of ICYM were present for the programme.
