Nirmalapadav - Parapady , May 5 : First Holy Communion was received by 4 children of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour parish, Nirmalapadav on 5th May 2024 during the 8:30AM mass.

Catechism prior to receiving the Holy Communion was taught by the parish priest Rev.Fr. Denis Dsouza and the Confessions were heard by him. The Eucharistic mass was celebrated by the Rev Fr Reginald Pinto , Director Sampada, Udupi Diocese.

During his homily Fr. Reginald Pinto said that every one can go with Jesus Christ and every person can accept Jesus. But every one should follow the path and mission of Jesus as well. The many challenges we will face require a strong faith in Jesus's love for us. The Eucharist is the sharing of God's life with us. The most important message that Jesus says to us through the Eucharist is that God loves us and cares for us.

The Liturgy was led by the children receiving the sacrament. Ashnon Dsouza from Sanoor Ward, Lysha Dsouza from Sanoor Ward, Anisha Mendonca from St Paul Ward and Angela from St Paul Ward received the sacrament.

After the mass, the parish priest blessed the Holy Rosary and Scapular and distributed them to the children who received the sacrament.

Fr Denis Dsouza, parish priest thanked all the catechism teachers who dedicated their time in teaching catechism to all four communion children .
