St. Louis de Montfort (1673–1716) was a French priest and renowned missionary known for his intense devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and for preaching popular parish missions. He founded the Company of Mary (Montfort Missionaries) and the Daughters of Wisdom, leaving a lasting legacy through his teachings on total consecration to Jesus through Mary, outlined in his classic work, "True Devotion to Mary".
