His appeal coincides with the “Ministry of Hope” conference in Rome, where Church leaders, mental health professionals, and pastoral workers discuss ways to strengthen the Church’s pastoral care for mental well-being. Organized by the International Association of Catholic Mental Health Ministers, with support from the Pontifical Academy for Life, the three-day event seeks to renew the Church’s mission of accompaniment for those experiencing psychological, social, and spiritual distress.
