Nov. 5, 2025 : In Rome, pilgrims retraced the footsteps of St. John Henry Newman, newly declared the 38th Doctor of the Church by Pope Leo XIV. Led by Fr. Hermann Geissler, the annual Newman Walk visits nine sites linked to Newman’s spiritual journey — from Propaganda Fide to St. George in Velabro. The event marked the 50th anniversary of the International Center of Newman Friends, celebrating his legacy of faith, intellect, and conversion. As pilgrims reflected on his theology and devotion to Mary, Cardinal Marcello Semeraro honored Newman’s enduring influence on Church doctrine and his search for truth.
