Nov. 4, 2025 : Pope Leo XIV had a full weekend, during which he proclaimed a new Doctor of the Church and celebrated the feasts of All Saints and All Souls.
During the Mass for the Solemnity of All Saints, Pope Leo XIV declared Saint John Henry Newman a Doctor of the Church, one of Catholicism’s most prestigious honors.
On Sunday, the Holy Father celebrated Mass for All Souls’ Day at the Verano Cemetery in Rome, sharing, “Love conquers death. In love, God will gather us together with our loved ones.”
