Today, we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Archangels: Sts. Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael.
St. Gabriel is best known for announcing the forthcoming births of John the Baptist and Jesus.
In the Book of Tobit, we read about St. Raphael, who, disguised as a human, helps Tobias restore the sight of his blind father and releases a young woman, Sarah—whom Tobias later married—from spiritual bondage.
And St. Michael, the “Prince of the Heavenly Hosts,” is a warrior saint who battles evil.
