On the Feast of St. Monica, EWTN explores a small chapel near the Vatican that holds deep personal significance for Pope Leo XIV. The Chapel of St. Monica is adjacent to the Augustinian Curia, where he studied, lived, and was ordained a priest in 1982. When Pope Francis elevated Provost to cardinal in 2023, he was assigned the chapel as his titular church. Augustinian priests reflect on St. Monica’s legacy, the chapel’s history, and her impact on Pope Leo’s path to the papacy. EWTN Vatican Correspondent Valentina Di Donato reports.
