From hashtagged homilies to viral TikTok testimonies, the Catholic Church is officially recognizing a new generation of evangelizers: digital missionaries.

For the first time in history, Catholic influencers from around the world are gathering in Rome for the Jubilee for Digital Missionaries and Catholic Influencers, July 28–29, 2025 — a groundbreaking celebration born from the Synod on Synodality and supported by Pope Leo XIV himself.

Meet the online missionaries who are using Instagram, YouTube, X, TikTok, and more to bring Christ to the digital Roman forum of today. Hear from voices like Katie McGrady and Fr. John Paul from Namibia, and see why the Church is finally embracing the online mission field.

“They are Good Samaritans on the web,” said Msgr. Lucio Ruiz. And now, the Church is saying thank you.
