Rome is preparing to welcome more than half a million young pilgrims from 146 countries for the Jubilee of Youth, set to begin Tuesday, July 29. Described as “the most eagerly awaited moment of the Holy Year,” the weeklong celebration includes spiritual, cultural, and musical events across the city. Highlights include the Jubilee for digital missionaries, a welcome Mass in St. Peter’s Square, citywide faith dialogues, a penitential day with confessions in 200 languages, and a weekend prayer vigil and an opportunity for young people to meet Pope Leo. The initiative is aimed at renewing the faith of future generations of Catholics. EWTN Vatican Correspondent Valentina Di Donato has more.
