The Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem cancelled this year’s Palm Sunday procession from the Mount of Olives to Jerusalem, due to the ongoing war in the Middle East. This will be replaced by a moment of prayer for the city.
Iraq’s Christians are significantly scaling back Palm Sunday and Easter observances amid ongoing security concerns due to the Iran war.
