Pamboor, July 22 : On 20th July 2025, Catholic Sabha and ICYM Pamboor unit came together to joyfully celebrate Elders' Day (Grandparents' Day), honouring the wisdom, love, and legacy of the senior members of the parish.

The day began with confessions for elders, followed by a Holy Mass at 11:15 AM specially offered for them. After the spiritual nourishment, the celebration continued with a stage programme at 12:30 PM.

Rev. Fr. (Dr.) Roshan D'souza, Parish Priest of Pamboor, presided over the programme and delivered the presidential address, appreciating the contribution of elders to the Church and society. The event was graced by Rev. Fr. (Dr.) Leslie Clifford D'souza, Dean of Shirva Deanery, who served as the chief guest. He shared an inspiring message and extended his heartfelt wishes to all the elders present.

Adding to the joy of the day, ICYM also conducted a fun-filled games session, which brought laughter and excitement, making the event even more lively and interactive.

Following this, the youth of ICYM Pamboor presented a vibrant cultural entertainment programme, leaving smiles on many faces. The celebration concluded with a hearty lunch, lovingly served to all the gathered elders, making it a truly memorable and meaningful day.

This special celebration stood as a reminder of the importance of recognising, respecting, and cherishing the elderly in our communities.
