Shivamogga, June 17 : The Shimoga diocesan BEC Animators' Jubilee was held to mark the jubilee year. It was held on June 15, 2025, at the Sacred Heart Cathedral hall from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Fr. Harold Pereira and Fr. Maxim Dias were the resource persons. Msgr. Stany D'Souza, the Vicar General of Shimoga Diocese, gave the keynote address.
Bishop Francis Serrao of Shimoga Diocese, celebrated the Holy Eucharist. During the sermon, he connected the Trinity with BECs and said that the Trinity is a community, which is a model for BECs.

Rev. Fr. Harold Pereira, the former regional secretary, spoke about the qualities animators should possess and the activities BECs should undertake.
Rev. Fr. Maxim Dias, the regional secretary for BECs, spoke about the structure needed for the proper functioning of BECs at various levels.
Three hundred animators of BECs from different parishes/mission centers attended. It was organized by Shimoga Diocesan Commission for Basic Ecclesial Community.
