Mangaluru, July 5 : St Lawrence English Medium School, Bondel, witnessed a vibrant cultural extravaganza titled "Festo Mania" on 4th and 5th July 2025, transforming the campus into a stage of talent, creativity, and celebration.

The grand inauguration ceremony was held on 4th July at 9:00 a.m. in the school auditorium. The event was graced by the renowned Tulu, Kannada, and Konkani film director and actor Mr. Rupesh Shetty, who was the chief guest. In a heartwarming gesture, the school felicitated Mr. Shetty for his remarkable achievements in the field of theatre and cinema. During his address, he shared glimpses of his humble beginnings and encouraged the students to remain persistent in their goals, emphasizing that perseverance is key to success in any field.

Rev. Fr. Andrew Leo D'Souza, the joint secretary of the school and president of the programme, lauded the school's commitment to both academics and extracurricular excellence. He encouraged students to draw inspiration from the life journey of Mr. Shetty and to dream big with determination.

Fr. Peter Gonsalves, the principal, who has been the guiding light behind the school's holistic development, was present on the dais. The event was further graced by Rev. Fr. Lawrence Cutinha, the assistant parish priest of St Lawrence Church, Mr. John D'Silva, vice president of PPC, Mrs. Rashmi Prabhakar, vice president of the PTA, Mrs. Helen Fernandes, headmistress of St Lawrence Aided School, along with School Pupil Leader Denith Rodrigues and Assistant SPL Deevina Jasmine D'Souza.

The two-day event showcased a wide range of cultural performances, competitions, and creative displays, reflecting the vibrant spirit and immense talent of the students.
