Mangaluru, June 23, 2025 : Nazareth School, Balmatta, Mangaluru, joined the global movement in celebrating International Yoga Day with the special theme "Yoga for Earth & One Health" on June 21. The event aimed to emphasize the interconnectedness of personal well-being, planetary health, and collective responsibility.

The celebration began with a formal assembly where the significance of the day was explained by the school principal. In her address, she highlighted how yoga not only promotes physical and mental well-being but also cultivates awareness, harmony, and mindfulness—qualities essential for nurturing a healthy planet and society.

The students and staff participated enthusiastically in a guided yoga session conducted by a certified yoga instructor. Various asanas, breathing exercises (pranayama), and meditation techniques were practiced, focusing on harmony with nature and inner balance. The session took place in the school’s open ground, symbolizing unity with nature.

To further spread awareness, students presented speeches, posters, and a short skit on the importance of "One Health" — a concept that recognizes the health of humans, animals, and the environment as interconnected. The creative performances reinforced the message of sustainable living and the need to protect our Earth for future generations.

The event concluded with a pledge by all participants to adopt yoga in daily life and make conscious efforts to reduce their environmental impact.

Through this meaningful celebration, Nazareth School reaffirmed its commitment to holistic education and sustainable values, inspiring young minds to be responsible global citizens.
