Mangaluru, Mar 12, 2017 : The state-of-the-art, fully equipped Father Muller Convention Centre was inaugurated on Sunday March 12 by Archbishop of Bangalore diocese Dr Bernard Moras. Bishop of Mangalore Diocese Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza led the prayer service and blessed the convention centre.

Inaugurating the centre, Bernard Moras, Archbishop of Bangalore, said it was the biggest in Mangaluru. He commended the efforts of Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Mangalore Bishop, and Patrick Rodrigues, director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions.

Rt Rev. Msgr Dennis Moras Prabhu, Vicar General and Vice president of FMCI; Shri Ramanath Rai, Honourable Minister of Forest, Ecology and Environment, Government of Karnataka and District Incharge Minister of Dakshinna Kannada; Shri Ivan Dsouza, Honourable Chief Whip, Legislative council, Government of Karnataka; Shri J R Lobo , Honourable Member of Legislative Assembly, Government of Karnataka were the Guests of Honour .

Rev Fr Patrick Rodrigues extended a cordial welcome to the gathering. Rev Fr Richard Coelho thanked the gathering. Rev Fr Ajith Menezes introduced the engineer and the contractor along with the others who contributed their valuable service in completing the project. They were honoured by the chief guests.

Rev Fr Felix Monteiro , Rev Fr Vincent Saldanha, Rev Fr Rudolf D'sa, Rev Fr Vincent Sylvester Lobo and other priests witnessed the auspicious occasion.

About Father Muller Convention Centre

The Centre has three skillfully designed halls under one roof namely the Muller Auditorium, Muller Dine and Muller Mini Hall. The Muller Auditorium consists of 38,750 sqft space with an artistically designed stage of 3500 sqft. Apart from its other regular features like Green room, wash room facilities etc., it has state of the art synchronized illumination systems and the best sound system by Bose. It can accommodate over 1,750 people at a time. The Muller Mini Hall has 5,600 sqft area and can accommodate over 500 people at a time. The Muller Dine which has access both to the Muller Auditorium as well as the Muller Mini Hall is 25,700 sqft area and can accommodate over a 1,000 people at a time. This Hall can be used as a Dining area along with the other halls or separately to host any event with enough space to serve food.

The centre also can boast of high capacity lifts and escalators for easy access, fully integrated audio visual and IT equipments, wi-fi Connectivity, emergency exits as per the best standards in the industry, smoke detectors, fire alarm system and the well-arranged parking facility which can accommodate over 700 cars.
