Mangaluru, Jan 15 : Second day of the feast of Infant Jesus on Janury 15, 2020 was dedicated for the children and the theme was “Solo Dio Basta” the Spanish version for ‘God alone suffices’: the life theme of St. Teresa of Avila. Because God alone is the unconditional source of love and those who love him lack nothing. This theme was well explained during the homilies taking the experience of the saints, specially St. Teresa of Avila.

It was an awesome sight to see the ocean of devotees flocking to receive the blessing of the Infant Jesus from early morning till in the evening for holy masses. The 10:30 mass which was celebrated by Rt. Rev. Alwyn Beretto, Bishop of Sindudurg and the 6:00 pm Mass by Rt. Rev. Bernard Moras, the Bishop Emeritus of Bangaluru. These two high Masses witnessed an ocean of the devotees that climbed Carmel Hill to hear the Word made flesh, the Babe of Bethlehem.

Liturgy, Choir, Spiritual ministry was well organized and more than ten thousand people were served meals. Thanks to the priests, brothers and all the volunteers for their round the clock selfless service.

The 6pm Choir was given standing ovation not just for the performance but for following the liturgical decorum which elevated the mood of the assembly and helped the people pray, said Fr. Wilfred, the Superior of the Monastery. Fr. Rayan Pinto conducted the adoration. Choir Master Simon and Alwyn D Cunha from Derebail Parish conducted the other choirs. Christy of Chris Sounds managed the Sound, Benna of Ben's Electricals oversaw the lighting of the venue. The Provincial of the Carmelites honoured the Bishops after the Mass.
