Bantwal, Oct 5 : Shamboor parish ICYM unit organized UBRANTH UDKANA 2K18 in the fields nearby to Shamboor Church on Sunday 16th September 2018 for the parishioners. The day began with the Holy Eucharistic celebration along with the guest priest Rev Fr George Lobo.

After the mass, A traditional procession was held from the church to the venue followed by baila dance with the traditional things. Non-catholics appreciated the youth for the grand procession. Breakfast was served to all the gathering prepared by Shamboor ward. Rev Fr Gerald Pinto inaugurated the programme along the guest priest Rev Fr George Lobo, Gilbert Pinto - Vice President Parish Pastoral Council, Janet Lasrado - Judge for the procession, Denzil Lobo - President ICYM Shamboor unit, Seema Pinto - Secretary, Delwin Lobo - Sports Secretary, Ashwin Fernandes compered the inaugural ceremony.

After the inaugural session, variety games and activities were conducted according to wardwise for the parishioners. All the executive members of the deanary and diocese paid a visit to the programme. Sanod Lobo and Sujay Lobo conducted games activities with the help of referees Umesh and Sagar. Lunch and tea was arranged and served by ICYM Shamboor unit.

In the concluding ceremony, Valerian Crasta was felicitated for providing field to conduct the programme and for the huge support towards the programme. Trophies and medals were distributed to the winners and donors were honoured at the concluding ceremony.

Adepila ward bagged the Champions Trophy, Shamboor ward bagged the First Runners up trophy, Sacred Heart ward bagged the Second Runners up trophy and Church ward bagged the Third Runners up trophy.

The programme concluded with the ICYM anthem followed by the baila dance. Sujay Lobo compered the concluding programme. It was a fun-filled day and a day to remember as the event concluded with a grand success and  was appreciated by all.
