Mangaluru, Sep 16 : On a bright sunny day of 14th September 2019 , a new book, a little miracle in itself was released to the world. Father Muller Medical College here held the release of its annual magazine, Mullerpulse 2019. This was followed by a set of new leaders taking charge. The student council handover was one like nothing before. A set of young yet fuelled souls marched and took stage to take up their duties and responsibilities from the outgoing student council.

The programme was presided over by Rev. Fr Rudolph Ravi D'sa, Administrator, Father Muller Medical College Hospital. Ms Vidya Dinker, social activist and journalist was the chief guest for the same. They were joined on stage by the Dean, Dr Jayaprakash Alva, the Administrator Fr Ajith Menezes, the Vice Dean, Dr Padmaja Udaykumar and staff Advisor Dr Cimona Dsouza.

The much awaited release of Mullerpulse, had the students cheering as the dignitaries unveiled the year's magazine, titled Create. The student editor, Ms Sanjana Mathew spoke about her journey as the editor-in- chief which left the crowd brimming with emotion and excitement. This was followed by the student council handover as the outgoing president Ms Roshan Mariam Manu handed over the flag and the year's responsibilities to the new president, Mr Abhishek D Kuriakose. The oath of office was administered to the new student council by Dr J. P. Alva, Dean, FMMC.

The best wishes from the administration was delivered by Rev. Fr Ajith Menezes, Administrator, FMMC, who appreciated the hard work by the outgoing student council and hoped for a strong and persevering new student council. The presidential address was delivered by Rev. Fr Rudolph Ravi D’Sa, Administrator, FMMCH. In his address he put forward an analogy of the newer version of the “Hare and Tortoise”, saying that as a leader one should be willing to accept the weakness and strength among each other and work in a progressive togetherness towards achieving a goal.

The outgoing and incoming student president’s, spoke about their experiences and future promises respectively.

The solemn function ended with the National anthem and the distribution of Mullerpulse 2019, which was indeed a treat to the eyes.
