Belthangady, Dec 17, 2014 : Bishop Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza of Mangalore inaugurated the renovated St Francis Xavier church, Indubettu, near here on Tuesday December 16. The church was renovated to commemorate the diamond jubilee celebration of parish.


Bishop Dr Aloysius presided the stage programme after the Eucharistic celebration here on Tuesday December 16 at 11:30am.

Mangalore diocesan pastoral council secretary M P Noronha, Beltangady deanery vicar Fr Bonaventure Nazareth were the guests of honor.

Bishop Dr Aloysius Paul, in his presidential address praised the hard work of all the people who were involved in the Church building project and he implored God’s blessings on all the people present.

M P Noronha in his address appreciated the efforts of Indubettu parish priest Fr Simon D’Souza and the parishioners and wished all the best for everything and assured all his support.

During this function former parish priests of Indubettu Church were felicitated and everyone thanked their efforts to nourish people’s faith.

Parish report was presented by parish council secretary Gracy Lobo. The parish council vice president Francis Moras proposed vote of thanks.

People from all walks of faith were present for this historic moment and they also participated in the fellowship meal.

Eer Undara…? A Tulu drama by Devdas Kapikad was staged in the evening as part of entertainment programme.
