Puttur, Oct 28 : ICYM St Paul Eastern Deanery, Puttur organized "IGNITED MINDS 2021" programme for the youth of the deanery on 24th October 2021 at St. John Baptist Church hall, Kokadda.

The programme began with a prayer. Rakshith Pinto, ICYM Deanery President welcomed the gathering. The programme was inaugurated by Kokadda Parish Priest Fr. Jagadish Pinto and Chief Guest Mr James Crishal D'Souza. Fr Ashok DSouza from Kokadda parish, Puttur Deanery Director Fr Jason Joseph Lobo, Kokkada Parish Pastoral Vice President Lawrence Pais , Secretary Praveen Noel Monteiro , Kokkada ICYM unit Animator Jacintha Pereira, ICYM Central council representative Rakesh Rego were present on the dais. Chief guest addressed the gathering.

Unit secretary Vanditha lobo proposed vote of thanks. Joyson from ICYM Puttur  Unit compered the programme.

Ice breaking session was conducted by the ICYM Deanery Director Fr. Jason Lobo. Fr Arun Wilson Lobo , Parish Priest of Kadaba church was the resource person. He took a session on "Building Leadership through ICYM " and explained his views on the topic in the most effective manner which was powerful enough to ignite the young minds and bring a change.

The session was followed by the Holy Eucharistic celebration which was celebrated by ICYM Puttur Deanery Director Fr. Jason Lobo, Fr Jagadish Pinto - Kokadda Parish Priest, Fr. Victor D'Souza - Sullia Parish Priest and Fr Ashok D'Souza from Kokadda.

A delicious and sumptuous lunch was enjoyed by everyone.

After the lunch , fun activity games were conducted by deanery representative Rakesh Rego.

For the valedictory programme, Kokadda unit President Wilma Lobo welcomed the gathering. Deepak DSouza was felicitated on being elected as the Auditor of ICYM Mangalore diocese.

Puttur deanery Vicar Forane Fr. Lawrence Mascarenhas , ICYM Mangalore diocese Director Fr. Ashwin Cardoza , President Jaison Crasta , Deanery Director Fr Jason Lobo motivated the youth by their inspirational speeches. General secretary of ICYM Mangalore diocese Vishma DCunha, Joint secretary Rakesh Rego were also present on the dais.

Bannur unit youth Sneha shared her experience on the programme. ICYM Puttur Deanery Secretary Rovina Pereira proposed vote of thanks. Cristal of Kokkada unit compered the programme.

The session came to an end with the ICYM theme song. 120 youths were present from 9 units.
