Mangaluru, Jul 28 : "Trees are the gifts from nature, save them for sustainable future".

A grandeur celebration of Van Mahotsav was organised in St Agnes CBSE School on 14th June, 2022. There was a green ambiance around the school with students and teachers depicting green with potted plants, symbols etc.

The day began with the prayer in the morning assembly depicting the significance of the day followed by a short programme on the importance of nature and saving it. A Tableau on importance of trees and street play on saving trees was performed. The Chief guest for the occasion was Mr Krishna Nayaka Deputy Range Officer Mangalore accompanied by the school Principal , the Vice Principal and Academic Coordinator. The chief guest planted the sapling and gave an important message on the occasion to save trees and not to harm nature. It’s a nation-wide issue and the duty of human beings to be responsible towards nature was highlighted.

Every class was colourfully decorated with green as the main theme. As a part of the programme students also exchanged the sapling with one another depicting the importance. For a short while the students created a Green human chain and saplings were distributed to the general public. Overall, a very fruitful day of symbolizing the need to protect our environment. The programme was well coordinated by teachers Raina and Mamatha.

The Management congratulates the school for depicting the importance of the day and wishes good luck for future occasions.
