Mangaluru, Dec 23 : A meeting to discuss about founding a trust to help the needy, was held by leaders of Catholic Christian community on 12th December 2020 at the auditorium of St Antony's orphanage in the city.

Fr Xavier Gomes conducted the opening prayer ceremony. Paul Rolphy D'Costa, immediate past president of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh, who celebrated his 55th birthday on December 22, welcomed the gathering and also informed about the motto of the trust.

As a token of inauguration of the trust, a small fund was handed over to Delan Misquith. Fr Onil D'Souza, Fr Marcel Saldanha, Roy Castelino and other eminent leaders of the community were present.

Renowned auditor of the city, Sunil Gonsalves informed the attendees of the meeting, in detail, the formation of the trust and also clarified the doubts of the members who attended the meeting.

Fr Xavier Gomes offered the mass. Fr Marcel Saldanha gave the homily. Fr Onil D'Souza, director of the orphanage honoured Rolphy D'Costa by draping a shawl around his neck and also garlanding him.

In the get together that was held after the meeting, Rolphy D'Costa was offered wishes on his birthday. Multiple vice chairman of Lions Club, Ronald Gomes and senior traffic warden Francis Maxim and Jacinatha Veera Moras, who are celebrating their silver Jubilee of wedding were felicitated. Victor Correa compered the programme.
