Hassan, May 07 : Chikkamagaluru Multipurpose Social Service Society (C.M.S.S.S) in association with Caritas India and Azim Premji Foundation distributed food kits and brought awareness to the people on Covid-19. The whole world is in turmoil due to Corona virus. "Many are indifferent towards the present situation but we are one with the people and responding to the Covid-19", says the Director Fr. Marcel Pinto. People are locked down all of a sudden without prior intimation. The lower middle class and the poor, especially migrant workers, daily wage earners, estate laborers, widows and children, disabled and aged are the most affected ones due to this. In this unforeseen situation, CMSSS has jumped into action through different ways.

During this lockdown period, the CMSSS staff gave awareness on Covid-19 to SHG members, PWDs and their dependents and also on different Government schemes available for the poor people.
