Mangaluru, Feb 26 : The inaugural function of the old students union of St. Ann's Higher Primary School took place on 23rd February 2020 at 4 p.m in the school hall. It was a pleasure to see alumni gather together in large numbers from different places after many years.

Sr Maria Kripa, the joint secretary of the institution, Chief Guest Mr. Umesh Karanth, lecturer in St Ann’s TTI and Sr Rosemita, the headmistress of the school and president of the association were on the dais. The programme commenced with a prayer song. The guests were welcomed with a dance by the school children followed by welcome address by Sr Rosemita, the headmistress of the school.

The association was inaugurated by lighting of the ‘Diya’ by the guests, a school teacher and one of the old students. The association is named as SANTHASM. The office bearers of the association were then chosen - Mr. Uday Ravi Shetty as the vice president and Mr. Harish Rao, the secretary. 20 students volunteered to be part of the executive committee. The rules and regulations of the association were read by Mrs Mable.

The Chief Guest Mr. Karanth then explained in detail the need of building up of the association in order to strengthen the bonds between each other and the school. Mrs Rajeshwari compered the programme.

After the formal programme, a few games were conducted for the members. The meeting ended with the school anthem.
